Hi Marisa, I had a quick question. I'm new to the sport coat world and am looking to buy the black and grey herringbone jacket from rugby. I was wondering if that would be a good pick up for a casual jacket and what chinos it would go with, if you could help me out it would be much appreciated.
Hi Tacotambien. If this is the blazer you are talking about, I think it’s a solid option for a casual to semi-formal winter blazer. Once you get past mid-march though, I’d be on the look out for something lighter, like this one from Suitsupply. As for the chinos, it depends on your price point, but here are some suggestions at multiple levels:
High:
Medium:
Low:
- Dockers, Signature Slim (D1 fit) - Dockers has a whole range of fits. The D0 is pretttty darn skinny, so the D1 is your best bet but if you have larger thighs, which I know is an issue for some guys a D2 isn’t the end of the world. Just make sure they’re the right length. $58, on sale for 40.
